Unless noted otherwise, the trolley departs from Crozet’s Downtown Square, near the bike shop. Please arrive 15 minutes before departure time. As a courtesy to other guests, we cannot wait for late-comers.

Free parking is available in and around Crozet’s Downtown Square near the trolley departure site.

+ Are tasting fees included?

No, tasting fees are different at each winery/brewery are not included in your ticket price. We have, however, secured discounts for tastings and other purchases for you where possible.

+ How much are the tasting fees?

Tasting fees typically run about $10 per person.

+ Which wineries do you visit?

Winery stops on our tour will vary, but our primary partners include King Family, Grace Estates, Knight’s Gambit, White Hall, Stinson, Meriwether Springs, Pollak, Septenary, and Veritas. Our beer tour consists of Starr Hill, Pro Re Nata, and Blue Mountain breweries. If you charter a private trolley tour, you’re able to customize your destinations.

+ What makes your vehicle a trolley?

The word “trolley” refers to the wheel that collects electric current from an overhead wire, and vehicles powered that way came to be known as “trolleys” for short. Our trolleys—Rosie, Belle, and Clementine—all run on a truck chassis but they have classic streetcar bodies like one sees in San Francisco. The manufacturer of our trolleys, Boyertown, had an illustrious history dating back to 1872.

+ What is included in the gourmet picnic add-on?

Our gourmet picnic-style lunch is from a local caterer called Greenwood Grocery and is made from the freshest ingredients available. It includes gourmet sandwiches on your choice of bread, fresh pasta salads featuring the flavors of the season, and freshly baked cookies.

+ What kind of clothing is appropriate for your tours?

The trolleys and destination buildings are climate controlled. In addition, the trolleys’ windows open and close. Casual dress is best, with comfortable shoes, and layers are recommended.

+ What is the minimum age for your tours?

For wine and beer tours, you must be at least 21 years or older. A valid ID will be required when you board. On private chartered tours there are no age limits, but our trolleys are not equipped with seat belts.

+ Can children join their parents on wine and beer tours?

Sorry, but no. As a courtesy to other guests and our destinations, we are not able to make exceptions.

+ Can pets ride on the trolley?

Again, sorry, but no. As a courtesy to other guests, we are not able to make exceptions.

+ Is a gratuity included in the price?

No, we prefer to leave tips for drivers up to the discretion of our riders. In the industry, 15-20% tips are typical for most satisfied guests.

+ Can we privately rent a trolley for our own group?

Yes! Please use our contact page to book private tours, corporate events, weddings, and other special occasions.

+ How long is the wine tour?

We pick up at 1pm on The Square and drop you back there at 5pm, in time for a stroll and a delicious downtown Crozet dinner. Some local eateries offer discounts to trolley passengers.

+ What time do the tours start?

We will board at 1pm. Refunds are never given in case of late arrival, but you can call to get information for "catching up" and meeting the trolley at its first destination.

+ Do you offer group discounts?

We would consider it. Please contact us.

+ What’s the largest group size you can accommodate?

Each trolley can hold 30-31 people.

+ Why can’t I book a tour as a solo traveler?

We typically do not have enough solo travelers to even out our group and fill the tour. We understand this rule can be frustrating for solo travelers. Please understand that it was a decision we did not take lightly and we regret any inconvenience it may cause any of you wonderful solo adventurers.
